Katanagatari An Awesome Journey Until The End

 

BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE *SPOILER ALERT*

It has been a great journey. T___T

The the ending just broke my heart, I really liked the Togame and Shichika pairing but as the anime explained it Togame HAD to die which is something I really don’t understand. The whole moment they had before Togame’s death was really tear jerking but it was confusing and endearing at the same time.

Togame explained what she has done and that if she didn’t die she would’ve been forced to kill Shichika instead because the truth is Togame really haven’t forgiven the Shichika’s father for killing his father and everything was her plot for revenge.

Everything was calculated and that her feelings and emotions were just mere pawns for her plans. That being said, Shichika still loves her and he even said that he would' have given his life for her (this really started the whole water works for me).

I specifically cried and felt all warm and fuzzy inside by Togame’s final words.

After that Shichika went berserk on the Shogun and killed of his guards that wielded the 12 swords that they have collected. This was a really action packed and thrilling scene, it was awesome to see the true form of the Kyoto-ryu. The guards as well as the swords were no match for him and it seems that the only reason why Shichika had any difficulty defeating the sword wielders from before was the fact that Togame had instructed her to protect herself and NOT break the swords.

 

I also liked the fight scene he had with Emonzaemon but I was a little disappointed with it because in the end I wasn’t really sure if Shichika won because of his skills or simply because that was the road that Emonzaemon chose.

I don’t actually want to talk about the end after the fights because NTR girl Princess Hitei was in it. :( Yes, I’m not a fan of her because my loyalty is with Togame.

 

Actually, the ending was ok but I still had some questions that the anime never answered like,

what was the origin of the Maniwa corps?

what’s the deal with Togame’s eyes?

Emonzaemon’s past? 

Togame’s past?

Hitei’s past?

The deal with rewriting history?

These things are still a bit blurry to me but all in all it was really a great adventure and if you still haven’t watched it…YOU SHOULD! This anime is good but if you’re not fan of the whole more talk less action kind of animes then you may be turned off with it a bit but you should still totally watch it.

There may be a whole lot of conversation in this anime but they were really interesting and funny. This is certainly a journey that you don’t want to miss. :)

My Little Sister Episode 8 Can’t Be This Bad

 

But it is..it is..T__T

Actually, before I watched episode 8 of Ore No Imouto ga Kona Ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, a friend already mentioned that it was the worst episode of the series but me being optimistic, I never thought that this anime could ever have a bad episode but boy was I wrong.

I never read the light novel so I believe that I don’t have any biases because I honestly love the anime.

Everything seemed like nothing, although the whole concept was ok and I really like how it all started Kirino being all excited because her novel was going have its own anime. Being all excited about the theme songs, the voice actors and the art direction, it was really fun to watch because it was something I could relate to.

If I was given that kind of opportunity I would have also acted the way Kirino acted but after that, after Kirino fainted, it was just a train wreck and simply a very negative episode. I don’t want to go into too much detail about that stuff because I don’t want to feel crappy again.

I don’t actually know what the point of this episode was. Was it to give Kuruneko more screen time? Because she was really awesome in this episode and it seems to me that Kuruneko was actually the only one who made sense.

Was it to hate Kirino because she’s perfect and always gets what she wants? If this is the case then they really did one heck of a job with this episode.

Kyousuke was really pathetic and I just don’t understand. I don’t buy the whole please please please I’m begging you please please please let my sister have her way. IMO, it was pathetic and annoying.

I was really upset with Kirino this episode and I actually like her! I mean she was all attitude, spunk and confidence. In this episode, Kirino was like a confused little kid.

The little sister loving Kirino that I got to know for 7 episodes would have kicked the panel’s asses when they mentioned that they would be changing the main character’s gender.

But no, Kirino just stood there helpless which was really sad to watch. :(

All in all Kuruneko was awesome but Kyousuke and Kirino really made me sad this episode. It just didn’t make any sense to me.

Figmas…Nendoroids and PVC Statues

 

So, before anything else, let me just say that this is a rant. I saw something in the net that freakin’ annoyed me and yes it has something to do with the title of my blog post. This just really annoyed me and honestly I’m not trying to be an ass or anything because I know that there are some people who doesn’t know the difference between Figmas, Nendoroids and PVC statues.

Actually, here’s the thing I saw a store online (not going to say the name for the store’s sake) who is selling Figmas, Nendos and PVC statues. I know, nothing wrong with that right? But that’s where you’re wrong!

I don’t think the store knows the difference between those 3 things.

Just to be clear, I’m not a veteran in collecting figures and I actually just started a year ago but come on! Before you sell things you should at least do some research and KNOW WHAT YOU’RE SELLING!!!

I repeat, there are still other people who wants to start collecting figures and will sometimes ask for guidance from some of the stores. So, as idealistic as this may sound, I believe that store owners should be knowledgeable or at least understand the different things that they’re selling.

Let’s put it this way, if a certain someone asks you for a figma and then you hand out  PVC statues instead and that customer, who doesn’t know what a figma even is, starts to call it a figma, it’s just a freakin’ mess waiting to happen.

I also understand that the customer should also have some knowledge about what he/she is buying but come on! Don’t you think this is a bit unfair?

So for future figure store sellers please understand why I’m being an ass about this, I really love collecting and I just don’t want it to become a joke.

For starters, a FIGMA is not short for FIGURE/FIGURES, it is actually produced by MAX FACTORY and distributed by GOOD SMILE COMPANY.

So, please, I’m not saying that you have to be a “master” of some sort to sell figures but you should at least know what you’re selling. You can do a little research, etc if you want it’s easy as clicking and reading.

I just think that it’s unfair for your customers, good if they know their stuff but just sad…really sad if they don’t.

So, why am I so affected by this crap?

Well, long story short, my first nendo and kotobukiya set were bootlegs and I was really disappointed about it. I kept trying to attach Saber Lily’s limbs but it just kept falling off. The color was bad and so is the stand.

If it wasn’t for a friend who pointed this out to me, I wouldn’t have continued collecting, which would have sucked.

I just don’t want other people to have the same bad experience as mine.

ANIMAX MUSIX 2010!!!

 

It’s ANIMAX MUSIX 2010 and another batch of artists are doing their take on some classic anime songs. This was a really amazing concert but sadly, I ended up just watching the version from the ANIMAX channel and I actually didn’t get to watch it from the beginning. :(

The artists who were on this said event was May’n, SCANDAL, ELISA, Mizca, Faylan, Shuhei Kita, AKINO fro bless4, Yoko Takanashi and Sayaka Sasaki.

This was really a fantastic event and it’s really fun to see and hear these artists have their take on some of our favorite anime songs.

May’n even sang GOD KNOWS (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu), Shuhie Kita and Sayaka Sasaki did a duet of What’s up guys (Bakuretsu Hunters) which was spectacular!

I also loved the collaboration of Mizca and SCANDAL. The event was really breath taking and it was unfortunate that I only got to watch the ANIMAX channel version.

One of my favorite performances though was AKINO fro bless4’s take on the Mononoke Hime song as well as the MAZINGER Z song which wasn’t as good as the original (of course) but they really gave it SOOOO much energy which made it fun to watch.

I really hope a DVD of this concert gets released so I could watch it again *sigh* oh well have to wait for next year’s ANIMAX MUSIX event then.

Kimi ni Todoke SEASON 2 is a GO!!!

 

Yes! Great news for Kimi ni Todoke fans everywhere! This will be announced on the cover of the November issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine.

Season 2 of Kimi ni Todoke will premier on Januray of next year.

I’m very excited about this news. Kimi ni Todoke was really one of those animes that kept me feeling fuwa fuwa every episode.

I really loved how the anime was presented story wise and art wise. So, if you haven’t watched this anime yet then I highly suggest that you get a copy (anime or manga) and catch up!

There’s still no news about the theme of the second season but I’m hoping for more development between Sawako and Kazehaya (of course). But more importantly, I also want to see more of “Pedro”/Maru-chan and Ayane.

I want the season 2 to show more of Ayane’s back story because honestly, IMO, she’s one of the most interesting characters in show. I like how she’s a bit mature compared to her other friends and I’m very interested in how her relationships will turn out.

Yes Sawako-chan you will need to make your appearance on live TV again XD

I’m really looking forward to Season 2 and I hope that the flow of the story continues as well as the art style (simply breath taking).

Awesome Masamune Nendoroid!

This is certainly something that I didn’t expect but I’m so very happy to see this. XD

Goodsmile will be releasing a Masamune Date nendoroid which is really awesome!!! I’m glad that goodsmile is starting to have more male nendoroids in their list.

The Masamune date nendoroid will be released on Januray 2011and comes with 3 expressions, posable elbow joints and 6 katana sheaths.

Goodsmile also announces that his rival Yukimura will also be getting the nendoroid treatment soon and I just can’t wait!

This is really really good news for me but a very very very bad news for my budget. A LOT of nendos and figures will be released this January 2011 that I don’t think I can have them all.

One’s thing for sure though, Masamune and Yukimura nendos are certainly must haves!

Ui Hirasawa Nendoroid

Another K-On related anime news, goodsmile will be releasing  a Ui Hirisawa nendoroid that will be released on Januray 2011.

The Ui Hirisawa nendo will consist of 3 total expressions and 2 school uniforms (awesome!). She also comes with the ribbon that she used in the anime to disguise as her onee-chan Yui.
